It was clean and calm. Its located immediately off the interstate. The staff was friendly. The room was clean, with microwave and refrigerator. Coffee being available at all times in the lobby was great.
Negatives:
The breakfast was alright. My only selfish wish is that it would face contained a protein, even something like a few hard-boiled eggs would have been nice. There were a lot of options but all were high-starch and sugary carbohydrates.

We've stayed here many times. We have family in the area. We mostly just sleep here, occasionally eat breakfast. The staff has always been nice to us. You get what you pay for. We're glad to not have to pay the "boutique" hotel prices nearby.

I booked the location as it was the closest to Martinsville, IL where the River Ridge football team was playing in the 8 man State playoffs. A couple of days later my son Doug Nicholas who is the football coach for River Ridge advised that a number of RR parents and players had booked into the same Motel. This worked out well as we were able to host an after game celebration for the players and families in the motel lobby. Though we were a bit disappointed in the outcome of the game, the ability to meet and converse with the players and parents was very nice. It was also meaningful for me to be present for the last game for my son Coach Doug and my grandson Seth, a senior, to close out the last 4 years of working together for RR football. A tender moment which made the 8 hour trek from El Dorado, KS to Martinsville, IL worthwhile! So thank you and your staff for making our stay a memorial one!!!
