The breakfast was delicious and had the hallways smelling like you were walking into a bakery in the mornings. Our room was much larger than a traditional 2 full bed single room and was homey. The location was perfect for where we were traveling to but also a great location to experience the shops and this area of Chicago.
Negatives:
We weren't aware of the parking fee per night. Maybe an oversight on my part but nonetheless, it wasn't horrible or something that I would refuse to pay but just to be aware to have some extra money to cover it.

Thankfully the hotel isn't too far from the bus stop and metro. The breakfast was pretty good and I liked how they had the complimentary waters. The room was a good size. Has a microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator.
Negatives:
This hotel was alright but could have been better for the price. The outside is not as "nice" as it shows in the picture. The photo they show is just part of it. Sometimes we would get friendly staff, other times not so much. We had one staff that refused to give us more water instead of telling us there was more in the breakfast room. The breakfast room is small and tight to move around. Especially when more people come in. We realized quickly it's best to come a little bit before 7am. Although the room wasn't bad, the a/c was loud, there wasn't much to watch on tv, and the refrigerator was barely working at times. As for travel convenience, it did take us between 30 to 45 minutes coming to and going from downtown Chicago whether by bus or train. Next time, I'll book something closer. Overall, not the best stay but not the worst.

The location was only 2 blocks from our daughter's place. It was within walking distance to eating and shopping.
The warm breakfast was appreciated.

We had a need to leave a night early from the 4 nights we originally booked. We tried to check out Sunday morning instead of Monday. The person at the desk said they could not accommodate our request due to the third party booking - through Booking.com. Booking.com tried to help us when we called them. They called the hotel to repeat the request. The hotel turned us down. So the fact they lied and said it wasn't up to them really bothered me.

we killed two roaches in our room (one inn the bathroom shower and one by the refrigerator), which made the overall experience bad. We did not advise the desk clerk or take photos as my spouse was to upset.
