Positives:
The lobby and restaurants on site are great and the location of the hotel is hard to beat
Negatives:
We stayed in a single king bed room and it was incredibly dingy and did not meet expectation for the price. The room was dated, paint chipping/peeling, the AC was nonfunctional for the first several hours of our stay, and it seemed like the room was not ready for a guest as the pillow cases were not on the pillows, just laid on the bed, and there was only one towel and no other linens. For the price, I expected much better.

The beds were very comfortable.
Very nice with view towards lake Michigan where we could view the beautiful sunrise.
Negatives:
The smell of chlorine in the bathroom, though we think this is very common to use in the US, it would be great if it could be changed to some more natural cleaning agents, eg the Swedish Grönsåpa or Ajax.

Decent location on the south side of Michigan ave.
Negatives:
Front Desk Check-in lady was quite unfriendly and I had to come back several times since she forgot a few items for my check-in. I felt like she was doing me a favor by just checking me into the hotel. Friendlier staff at check-in would be better for the hotel.
