Positives:
I have stayed at this hotel many times, the convenience, courtesy of the staff and frankly the vibe is classy but not too much so. I like the new decor better than the prior so the upgrades are welcomed.
Negatives:
Well…they are working on the lobby and it looks bad right now so it’s not fair to judge. Better to wait. I am glad to see elevator improvements as the old ones looked to be original and there was always a wait. Anxious for the new restaurant as I always enjoyed Fisk and the prior iteration…need a place to eat in a hotel.

Positives:
Location was perfect! Close to public transportation and Michigan Ave. Wonderful view from room. Beds were comfortable and rooms were big. When asked for a place to hear up leftovers they kindly brought up a microwave to the room. Everyone was so kind.
Negatives:
Elevators weren’t working properly sometimes, but wasn’t a big enough issue to prevent us from staying here again.

- staff was friendly
- the location is great, very central, I was exploring city on foot
- nice design of the room's interior
- very good free wifi connection

- there was ongoing renovation of the hotel with no information about that during the booking, thus there was neither bar nor restaurant in the hotel available and this impact all experience from staying in this hotel
- there was no information that the deposit is required when the hotel was booked, all amount plus deposit is blocked on the credit card no matter what payment method is (if cash, still they booked credit card, advanced payment in cash was not accepted)
- it was very windy and cold from the very huge window glass in the room
- noisy - no sound proof walls and windows - as hotel is pet friendly - the dog was barking during few nights very loudly from the other room and many times during the night, the signals of police / ambulance were heard from the street
- water pressure and water temperature in the shower might be better
