The location of this Red Roof hotel was fine in terms of access to the main highway. The check-in procedure was smooth and the welcome was friendly and professional.
Negatives:
However, the hotel itself was a bit too basic and the facilities weren't clean. The rooms were small. musty, furnishings were worn for wear, and the bathroom fan was noisy.

The location is great! It's near the freeway and near a shopping plaza with a supermarket, eateries, and gas stations. Close to the Chicago Botanic Gardens.
Negatives:
The tub in my room could've been scrubbed more thoroughly. I brought it to the attention of the front desk shortly after checking in and asked for a new room, but the other room available was on the second floor and the guest elevator was broken, so I opted to just keep the room since it was on the first level and I could get to my parked car easily outside the door. Thankfully, I brought shower shoes so that saved me.
