Comfortable bed, clean room, well decorated and spacious interior, reasonable price, friendly staff.
Negatives:
The breakfast. No breakfast available at the start of the day except for a waffle maker, some unripe fruit, and pre-packaged pastries. On one of the two days, the beverage fridge was still locked and an employee had to be found.

The only thing we liked was leaving and a prompt refund.

The pictures are not what it is really like. One of the rooms smelled of smoke & the other was not the size bed we reserved, so we got other rooms. These were worse. Ceiling pieces (from leak) on the bed in one and bugs on the other. The pool had a cover on it that hadn't been cleaned in years. No lights on in the common areas. We weren't expecting 5 stars, but at least clean would be good. The carpet in the rooms were in real need of cleaning.

Location was just right to be close to total eclipse. Otherwise, you would have no reason to stay in Mattoon.

Photos and name of property suggested a hotel, but Suite Dreams is really a motel with very few amenities. So, their advertisement is a bit misleading.

Our car broke down outside of town. Location was amazing for cheap restaurants, clean clothes, and other necessities just a walk away. Easy enough to walk to the train station too.
