There wasn't much to like about this property. It was run down the breakfast was gross. We had to go into three rooms just to find one we can stay in.
Negatives:
First off the hotel was really dated. Took us three times to be able to find a clean room. There was no compensation for this. The TV was messed up the pillows felt like they were years old. Very very very unhappy with this property. It was one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed at.

Room was clean. This was our first trip we have taken with our dog. We always have a house sitter that stays with our animals. We were happy to find a hotel that allowed us to bring him along. The town is cute and we visited the Superman sites. Close to Paducah where there are many more restaurants. Hotel breakfast was good. Would only stay here again due to being pet friendly.

Our room was on the first floor. This was great for being able to quickly take our dog out. However, this has to be the noisiest hotel we have ever stayed in. Doors slamming throughout our stay. The room above us had constant foot steps both nights. It sounded as if they were stomping back and forth. The amount of noise the first night had not only us restless, but our dog would react to every noise because the sounds were so loud. The morning following our first night I asked the man at the desk if he offered ear plugs, but they do not have any. We bought some while we were out and I also bought some Tylenol PM To help me sleep. I do expect some noise and bring a sound machine, but even it did not make a dent in buffering the sounds coming from all around us. With medication and ear plugs, and also being tired from hiking all day I the Shawnee National Forest, I was able yo get some sleep.
Also, the arrangement of our bathroom was awful and a major design flaw. It was very tight and I could imagine some guests having trouble maneuvering the door to get into the shower or simply to use the toilet.
