Cheap, fairly clean for the money (just looking for a few hours of rest on a long 2-day drive)

Turns out there is no actual staff on premise overnight. When I got locked out of my room trying to leave early (4:00 AM), the virtual assistant (person in India) told me I'd have to wait 1 hour for someone to arrive. The security swing bar on the door caught when I closed the door to get ice in the lobby. This meant that while the card electronically unlocked the door, the security swing bar prevented me from opening the door fully. I could see on the wood door that this must have happened many times before, there were gouge marks in the wood. I had to find a tool in my car and basically pry the security swing bar off of the door jam. So not only did they not fix the issue which others must have had, the fact that there is absolutely no one at the hotel overnight to deal with issues is very alarming to me. Not worth saving a few bucks, so will stay elsewhere in the future.

Close to interstate and restaurants. Fair breakfast options. Recently remodeled bathroom was the saving grace for this older motel. Staff friendly and helpful.
Negatives:
Even though the room was nicely furnished, the motel was clearly an older one. I thought the color palette in the room was a bit dark, giving it a somewhat gloomy feeling - glad we were staying only one night. No person on site when we were checking out. Instead, an employee did that process remotely by video at the front desk. It was certainly a different experience - a first for me.

Room had hair on floor. Check in Kiosk was some video lady from India speaking whom I could not understand. Thankfully a human lady arrived and check us in- she was great. Ditch that kiosk, or get understandable language.! Never made it far enough on kiosk to do more than try to show phone confirmation, which failed. Room had an odor, main motel area smelled fine.
