The sheets seemed to be clean.

The entire place was disgusting! The carpet was caked with dirt and ripped in many places. The bedding looked as if it was from the 1950's, and they have continued to use it for the last 70 years.
I am not entirely sure how it has the rating it does on Booking.

Quiet, clean and basic hotel. No bells and whistles, but better than two stars. Pool was open and reasonably maintained. Breakfast was better than some we have experienced.

Positives:
Convenient location along the interstate. Most economical among the few motels in the location. Near restaurants.
Check in host was friendly and at the desk when I arrived.
Negatives:
Window panes were dirty on the outside -- looked like they had not been washed for a long time. Bed mattress too hard-- had back ache in the morning. Floor in bathroom and sink area could have been cleaner. Carpet frayed on the ends. No soft sitting chair. The one chair in the room was hard backed, and the seat cover coating was flaking off. No water drinking glasses.
The check in host did not have my reservation in his computer. So it took far more time to check me in as a "walk in". But the total cost for the room was a couple of dollars less than the booking.com discount reservation cost (which the host did not even have).

Bef bugs were horrible. It was late when we came n we had driven 13 hrs. So we did not ask for another room n did not want to carry all our things to another room. Besides when in one room most likely be another. We have stayed in many of these hotels n never ever had any type of bug. We slept with sheets over our heads, but still had bites on our backs. Im 78 yrs old n had never seen a bedbug, I had to look it up on the internet to see what it was. I killed at least 15!! To say the least, it was the worst nite ever!!
