I usually dont write reviews, and i dont like to be karen, but i had to write it because it was a bad experience at the hotel. They didn't give us the room we booked. The heater/ac was malfunctioning. It was cold as hell in the morning, even though we set the heater to 75.

Booked a king for 3...
Negatives:
Upon arrival, unsure of whether a a room was available. The first room assigned had no mattress and wasn't made up. Garbage and laundry on the floor. The 2nd room roaches crawling on the door and wall. I asked for a refund and the front desk person said he was unable to accommodate without the manager. I never received a refund, and the GM has still not returned my call. People were smoking crack outside the door of the entrance, the worst experience of my life. I will never go back.

The staff was all very friendly and helpful. The were very knowledgeable about the area and the events happening that weekend with the state fair.
Negatives:
In my room I saw mold on the wood bed frame and the room had a mold/ wet smell. I also saw several roaches in the bathroom.

Location from where we were was fine.
Negatives:
The king-size bed was not a king-size bed. It was a queen. The size of the soap was so little that you could hardly wash your hands with it. Our room smelled like weed/smoke. There was no bathmat and only 2 little towels for two people.

This was absolutely the worst hotel I ever stayed in and when I tried to book elsewhere there were no vacancies. The room smelled like mold and the blinds were so cheap they did not completely cover the window. The bed linen and pillows were old and flimsy. I had to spray down the entire bed with disinfectant spray for my own sanity. The air conditioner was so loud that you couldn’t sleep peacefully.
The bathroom was soooo crappie it appeared that a 3rd grader installed the floor tile and painted the walls 2 different shades.
When I opened the refrigerator (too large for the room) I noticed a piece of hair on the side tray….. yuck!
This hotel was scary as there were random people hanging out the side entrance smoking weed. I informed the manager on duty and she apologized. This hotel should be a homeless shelter.
