I booked the hotel a week in advance and contacted the hotel 3 days before arrival and asked about early check in and was informed to just contact the hotel when we were on our way. We arrived in Indianapolis at 10:30 am and was informed we were not able to get an early check as previously stated by another hotel worker.
So when we arrived at the hotel at 3:30 pm we had to wait in line since there were several guests in the lobby for various reasons and only 1 hotel worker to service the guest. When she was finally able to speak with us she stated that she was about to call me and let me know that the pipes had burst and they didn't have any rooms for us but made arrangements with another hotel who said per the employee of the hotel that the another hotel would honor our rate.
So before driving to the other hotel I contacted them via phone and was informed that the hotel indeed made a request for the guests who were affected. And before we left the lobby and guest came to the front desk to report a power outage in the gym room and we left.
The hotel is under construction and if I had known that information prior to booking I would have selected a different hotel. So we drove the 2 miles away to the other hotel but was informed that the other hotel had only reserved 15 rooms with king size beds only.
I had reserved 2 double rooms with double beds so the 2nd hotel said that they could only honor our rates if we select the King size beds because they only booked for king size rooms so we had to pay the difference for the double beds which we did because we were tired, long day and traveling with 4 minor children was exhausting after our family event
I will use the Booking.com service but I will definitely be asking more questions and contact the hotel before final booking.

The location was basically the only thing this hotel had going for it. It was close to the malls and to family we were visiting. That’s about it.

We arrived in town early and called to see if we could check in early. We were told a room was available. After getting to the hotel and making our way through the construction crews mess (including a bud light box) we went inside to get our room. The person at the desk said she’d have to see if any rooms were available…we had just called, so what happened? They found us a room and we went up. When we got up there, the beds weren’t made and there were towels on the floor. Also, the room keys didn’t work. We went downstairs and asked for another room. We waited for about 15 minutes until they found one. It was clean and not a bad size. We noticed the room was very chilly so we bumped up the heat. We left and when we got back, the room was FREEZING! We bumped the heat up again. My daughter wanted to wash her face and go to bed and we then noticed there was no soap in the bathroom. I went to the desk and asked for some. The person in line behind me was also there asking for soap because there room also did not have any. The desk clerk left and came back with 2 small bars of soap that she announced were the last they had in the building…seriously? I went back to the room and got ready for bed. At this point, my exhausted daughter was asleep. I climbed in bed and was freezing. I checked and the thermostat was set at 77 degrees but the fan was still spitting out icy air. Since my daughter was asleep, I put on a sweater over my pjs and went to bed. I woke up ice cold and the room was frigid. We got dressed quickly and headed to the lobby. I mentioned to the person at the desk that our thermostat was broken and the room was freezing. She said she’d let someone know. We then went to breakfast. This was the most horrible breakfast I’ve had! Cold wet eggs, hard sausage, and barely warm potatoes that were overly seasoned. The coffee had things floating in it. This was a horrible stay. Please find somewhere else to go until these folks get their crap together.
