The hotel was close to the location I was in Ames for

The bathtub surround inside was broken, the bathtub bar was ripped out of the wall, the light above the sink in the bathroom didn't work, the room smelled terrible thanks to a guy standing outside my air conditioner unit smoking pot. The parking lot was full of railroad workers standing around smoking and drinking.

Room, clean and satisfactory, nothing fancy but what is needed while in the area. The pet policy is great. Don't always use the pet policy, but when we do it's nice it is not an extraordinary fee like other places.
Negatives:
Beds aren't as comfortable as I would like. The breakfast could be better but during co-vid, it is hard to have a lot of safe options. Could work on updating the outside building and inside rooms.
