Negatives: The hallway smelled like urine and the bed was creaky.

Negatives: Nothing. Very pleasantly surprised.

Negatives: Housekeepers were literally waiting for me to leave at 8:30. But all staff was kind. Other people cooking food smells. Gross. But a minor inconvenience.

Negatives: We reserved a room for two adults and one child. We arrived to find that there was one double bed in our room, not even a queen as reserved and no room for a roll-away. No second bed for the third person, not even a fold-out couch. Just one double bed with a single desk chair and countertop. We tried to change rooms, but were told the hotel was booked full and that would have to do since we booked through Booking.com and the hotel wasn't responsible. I explained that Booking.com can only offer what the hotel tells them is available. The bed was not only very small, but was worn out and "caved in". Very disappointed and will not stay here again in our frequent trips to West Des Moines. The staff was not pleasant in any of our conversations and check in took forever even though we had given all of our information online when reserving the room.

Negatives: Price of rooms

Negatives: Didn't care for the coffee for the breakfast (that could just be a matter of personal taste and not a reflection of the facility). Mattress was more firm than I prefer and did not sleep very well.
