Negatives: Well, upon entrance there was a strong odor of cooking, mold, sweat, and urine. Our room was filthy-the bathtub could not be used due to the fact that there was dirt left by previous occupants. The bathroom door could not be latched for privacy. The beds were unkempt. Given the odor in the room, we could not determine the cleanliness of everything else.

Negatives: Cleanliness of facilities. Pool and elevator broken

Negatives: Ugh… sorry. Again, I’m sorry. We had to ask for a different room because it smelled like smoke. He insisted that it was a non smoking room. Okay maybe it was supposed to be. Buuuutttt- it wasn’t. And the window was broken. Wasn’t staying in there feeling unsafe. Also- realize it was family owned the next morning. Thought there was a day at above our room and in the hallway.

Negatives: dirty bathtub-did not use due to it's condition.

Negatives: There was no electricity for 4 hours.

Negatives: I liked the high hygienic and clean place, Quite no disturbance at night. You feel as if you were home.

Negatives: attitude of staff

Negatives: There was no breakfast. There were no cups in the room. The Side door to building was propped open with a rock. We think manager lied.

Negatives: The manager is a slimy scam artist. He convinced me that their EFTPOS machine wasn't working and made me pay cash for my stay. The next morning I went down for Breakfast which it said was included only to find the meals area locked and NO breakfast equipment even in the room. I asked why and he said NO Motels are providing Breakfast due to COVID. Funny how every other placed I stayed at had breakfast. The indoor pool had a sign on it saying "closed for renovations", but there hasn't been any work done and the area is being used to store old furniture and TV's. My room stank, the toilet bowl was stained, the bathroom floor had loose and broken tiles and the wall paper was peeling and mouldy. The ice machine was also broken down as was the lift to the second floor. Now for the best part. As I was checking out and asked for an official receipt (which took 45 minutes to get as they keep their records on an old note pad hidden under the desk) I noticed some papers pinned to the wall hidden by a pot plant. The document is a Iowa Department of Inspections & Appeals official document outlining many problems and shows that only some of the rooms on the lower level are suitable to be used and NO rooms on the second floor are to be used. Well I was on the second floor and many others were also on the second floor. I believe this guy should be investigated by the IRS and the place closed and even the local Police said it was a scary place to stay due to the dirtiness.

Negatives: No breakfast as advertised, so i had to spend an additional $50 on breakfast for our group each day. Rooms were very hot, ACs blew out how hot air in both rooms, we asked other people staying and they said the same so we had to go to walmart to buy fans for both rooms. The whole property has a old stale smell, not clean as a hotel should smell

Negatives: When we arrived, we were told there was no room for us, although they did have our reservation. The place looked abandoned, no other cars in the lot, which was overgrown with weeds. Filthy inside and out. The guy at the desk spoke almost no English, and just told us to go to some other motel he said was owned by his friend, called the cozi inn, but he couldn’t tell us where it was.

Negatives: we were switched to a motel in Williamsburg, that was over a half an hour further from the track, and had no TV
