Very good
Positives:
The location was good. The shower sprayer is a good idea, if that's what makes a room ADA-compliant in Iowa.
Negatives:
1. A handicapped room with a normal tub/shower in the bathroom is NOT a handicapped room. You'd have to pick up your first foot up about 12" and over another 5" to get into the tub that doesn't have any slip guards. They think putting a grab bar in makes it ADA-compliant. WRONG. I checked the room before we went in. The guy at the desk assured me that's a mobility-accessible room. 2. The tile floor (handicapped room) was sticky. It didn't feel like humidity. 3. The bathroom door lever was really hard to open. A mobility-challenged person would have a difficult time getting out of the bathroom if the door was fully closed. 4. Pillows. Give me a break. They are small, square, and lumpy. I wouldn't be surprised to find out they were chopped-up old pillows that had been jammed into another case. Bring your own. 5. The guy at the desk doesn't know what "connecting" means. He said room 116 and 117 are connecting. No. They are across the hall from each other. That is not connecting. So, if the person in our group who needed the "handicapped room" had needed to shower, she'd have had to come across the hall. It doesn't matter. The same kind of tub was in her room.
