Location was convenient and parking lot was well-lit. The hot breakfast was really good. Dining area was filled with comfortable seating. Every staff member we dealt with was extremely friendly! Beds were comfortable and showers had bath wash, shampoo and conditioner dispensers! Clean and cozy place! Would have loved to have tried out the pool but ran out of time.

Unexpected, Amazing Stay in Newport
Positives:
The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and in good repair.
Negatives:
We had the breakfast one morning and it was a little disappointing. The coffee was out and took a long time to replenish. The oatmeal was out. The melon tasted off. Breakfast “nuggets” were lukewarm and we couldn’t tell what the ingredients were.

The room was nice and clean! A lot of extra towels. Bed was super comfortable! I loved that they welcomed me by name on the tv! All staff I came in contact with was super friendly! The hotel is very nicely built and decorated! Truly a luxury hotel! I love that you had to use your key card to get to your floor! I felt very safe!

I do not have a single complaint! I just wish holders and parking fees were mentioned in the booking. I did ask the property via message but didn’t hear back until the day I left. Which is okay!

We drove a few hours...
Positives:
The location was close to the Newport Aquarium and to the bridge to Cincinatti.
Negatives:
The initial room we were checked into smelled like urine and the linens had old blood stains. We told the front desk and were moved to another room. In the new room there were issues the ventilation system in the bathroom. Also, the bathroom door did not lock. The free breakfast wasn't as good as other Hampton Inn locations. Chicken nuggets were served for breakfast. After we paid our balanced, we had an unauthorized charge of over $277 due to an apparent overnight audit in their system and another charge for $136 for incidentals. I addressed the issue about the charges and was told my account would be refunded in 5 to 7 business days. No apology for the inconvenience.
