Location was excellent because it was just that far enough away as not to be too noisey from the hustle and bustle of Bourbon street but not so far as to walk anywhere you needed.
Negatives:
I thought the parking was expensive but ok I guess for a down town location at $43 a day but we still got charged for 5 days although we only stayed for 4, I don't think this is a hotel issue more of a parking sub contract.

We did not stay at the property, we were relocated 20 minutes away from french quarter due to an "Explosion". Funny thing is we passed the hotel multiple times and we see people going in and out.

The hotel is in a good location and the rooms are spacious and nice.
Negatives:
When we arrived at the location to check in the lady at the desk said it would be a $150 damage protection hold on my card. I received an email stating that the damage protection is $100. I showed her the email I received so she called her manager. The manager was very rude and told us theres nothing she can do about the $150 hold after reading the email I received stating the damage protection will be $100. She walked off from us with a group of her coworkers. I didnt get her name but she was the black lady with glasses and hair was in two ponytail tails. After we finally got settled in later that night while I was in the shower the alarm went off and they asked everyone to evacuate the building. We had to go down eleven flights of stairs. When we finally made it to the lobby there were people shooting pool and still drinking at the bar as if nothing was going on. So after maybe 30 minutes later they said we could go back to our rooms. 15-20 minutes later the alarm went off again but this time as we were passing one of the guests in the hallway she said they told her everything was fine and we didnt have to leave our rooms. The next morning around 7:00 the staff members went around knocking on everyones door telling us we have to evacuate the building and relocate to another hotel within 15-20 minutes. Our stay at Aloft was horrible.

U have to pay for parking and valet takes to long to bring your car. There was a 150 deposit that wasn?t mentioned and you really won?t get it back because you still have to pay 50 for valet which would be added to the room so yea no deposit back.
