Positives:
Good location, just far enough (a few streets away) from the river and action of Bourbon Street that the hotel is quiet enough to sleep at night. Great room for the price and you'll get two drink tokens for the lobby bar. We only spent one night but having stayed at a few other places, this will be my preference for my next trip to NOLA. The history of the building is also very cool.

Toilet needs to be in a water closet . Should give guests the option to choose a room. We were assigned room 623 and stared at a parking lot the whole time. Not romantic.

The location was perfect for a quick walk into the French Quarter. Relatively, the price at the time was competitive.
Negatives:
The rooms, though spacious, were very dark. The hotel itself, despite a gorgeous lobby, had very spotty quality and service at the restaurant and bar. One night, bartender Armani did a fantastic job. The next night with a different bartender, our Aviations were served in warm juice glasses.
By the third day, our trash had not been taken out, beds not made, etc. Upon asking the front desk, they said housekeeping had to be specifically scheduled. We scheduled it for later that day; they did not show up. When we asked the front desk about it, they said they may be able to squeeze in a quick service. By the end of the quick servicing, we still did not have toilet paper.
