The elevator was broken, so...
Positives:
Cute lobby and courtyard set up. The location was also close-ish to the French Quarter.
Negatives:
This has been the worst hotel experience I've had to-date in NOLA. Upon checking in to my hotel, I was told there would be live music that night for a private event until 12:30am, and some customers might find it uncomfortably loud. Once I got into my room, the ceiling had black mold growing on it (I understand we are in NOLA, but this was disgusting), the door was covered in something sticky, the floors left my feet black from dirt, I was only provided two sheets on my bed and there was no cable. There wasn't info in the room regarding the facilities so I had a lot of trips to the front desk. Upon returning from grabbing dinner, I came back to bus loads of college students getting dropped off at the hotel for this private event. I had to shove my way into the hotel and once inside, I discovered the live music was around the corner from my room and was LOUD! Everything was trashed out and taken over by this group of college kids, including the roof top bar, which was one of the main reasons I booked this particular hotel.
When my walls were still vibrating at 11:30pm from the very loud music, I talked to the front desk manager about the mold and the overly-loud music, and asked for a different room. I received no help and instead was given the excuse that "they did post a notice at the front desk about the noise" (How does this help me when I booked months ago?) and they were sold out, but she could give me a refund for the second night, but I would need to check out. As this was Jazzfest weekend, everything was booked. Instead of any apology, she made excuses that this is just how it works in New Orleans and if I didn't want to check out tomorrow, then that's all she can do. I had no other options but to stay put for two nights. On the second night, I was excited to finally use the rooftop and lobby bars but both were closed due to low staffing.

Not comfortable
Positives:
The location was convenient, but safety at night is questionable. The residents were quiet. The front desk was charming. Overall, okay hotel, but housekeeping and maintenance needs work!
Negatives:
The room had an extremely toxic ?PineSol? odor, had to sleep with the balcony door open. The shower curtain rings were rusty, the floor needs paint touch up. No iron or hair dryer in room. Massive amount of cigarette butts in plant on balcony.
Positives:
Location
Negatives:
Elevator not working. Air conditioning was intermittent. Refrigerator not working. Blinds would not close.
Positives:
Location was ok. Staff was friendly and there was a parking garage close by that was decently priced.
Negatives:
Facilities were outdated especially the floor, the walls and bathroom. You can hear everything going on outside especially noise from the little courtyard. It was not a comfortable stay.
