This was great for an over night stay.

The lady that checked us in, Elizabeth, was so nice. We explained we would be leaving before breakfast the next morning for my wife's eye surgery. She fixed a bag of bananas, yogurt, and muffins for us to eat after we returned from the surgery.I thought that was pretty nice and should be noted for her helpfulness during our stay.

You had to insert your key card several times to unlock the door. One time I almost gave up on it and started toward the checkin desk. I tried more time and it finally worked. Opening the outside door into the hotel with the key card worked first time every time. We were warned at the front desk that the key card was a little finicky and sure enough they were.

While the stay at La Quinta in Shreveport was as wonderful as always, there was an incident this time. On our 2nd morning when I came back to the room with coffee there was what appeared to be a$100 on the floor in front of our door. As soon as I picked it up I realized how stupid that was of me and immediately scrubbed my hands. It was a fake one million dollar bill. With all the news about how this is poisoning people I was nervous. Immediately I went up and told the front desk, their actions is what troubled me. “No big deal you can see it’s a fake”, “just throw it away”, “somebody is being funny”. My purpose in reporting it was that if something bad was to happen to anyone, the hotel would have been liable because whoever did it was in the hotel. I requested that an incident report be made but would not get a confirmation that it would be done. Again I was told it was no big deal. They requested that I throw it away in the garbage can by the front door. I had it wrapped in tissues and did so.
