Positives:
Comfortable bed with nice pillows. Shower had good pressure, lots of hot water, a free-flowing drain and a handy grab bar. Good vanity space around the sink to set toiletries. Tori at the front desk was very welcoming and super helpful.
Negatives:
Room smelled like mildew (often a problem in humid Louisiana). Rusted towel rack in the bathroom. Furniture was old and in very poor condition. The only piece of furniture on which guests could set luggage was very tall so not at all convenient to use. There was only a desk chair and no other chair in the room which is a problem for 2 people (fortunately for us, Tori very kindly found us a second chair but it’s a poor design for all rooms not to have them as standard). Carpet was torn in places and could have been cleaner. The walls were thin and loud talking in the room next door until 2:00am meant we got very little sleep. The hotel appeared to be nearly empty so it was unfortunate that guest rooms weren’t spaced farther apart to mitigate noise issues. Our stay was not at all pleasant and we would not return.

Staff were great when two rooms were not great and they moved me up to the Third floor. Elevator, cart for moving luggage and breakfast.

When I came in the first room I went to smelt like mildew and the second room like burnt plastic. The first room the fridge wasn’t on and looks like it leaked defrosted it or it leaked. There were towels in the fridge.

Front desk seemed short staffed when I arrived so the girl helping me took awhile as she kept going towards another guest to help them instead. There’s also extremely limited parking and the entrance is paved well so be careful with your car. Parking lot can be scary at night.
