Very friendly staff, genuinely dog-friendly, excellent coffee(!), good location in the Old Port, good breakfast, very walkable area of Portland.

A pain to get stuff from your car, given that the parking lot is right there, but had to use valet. Not a big deal.

I had a room with a view of the water and the hotel is perfectly located for a nice walk through downtown Portland. Room was clean and spacious and the hotel has a pool and fitness center for those wanting to stay fit.

The price charged for this room is simply based on location. The furniture in our room was chipped/broken-making it appear old and unkempt. I did not sleep well in the bed despite traveling all day but that may have just been person preference. On arrival at checkin he first name on our reservation had been changing causing stress when we were told we had no reservation. 1 box of tissues provided only- so if someone has allergies or the sniffles like my son you may want to bring some. Ok value but Id pay a little more and stay at Cambria next time.
