It was neat looking. It was different than what it was years ago

My room a hole in the bathroom, the door was missing some of the metal off the bottom of the door so it was basically a small hole letting all the cold air in. The floor was dirty and the tv/tv stand was dusty And the tv had no movie channels that were good they were under basic.

Conveniently next to a shopping center.
Negatives:
It was pricey for the quality. It felt dirty. Outside and inside the room. The area/people outside felt sketchy.

Room was unclean. Holes in floor at ac and above shower head. Shower had little pressure. Bed was extremely uncomfortable, feeling springs in my back all night. Obvious residents of travellodge were loud, drunk and obnoxious right outside our door. Woke up ro multiple cans of empty beer cans littered around our vehicles. Not everyone makes a lot of money to afford a more high end hotel but when I have to pay almost 120 for a night, I do expect cleanliness and the ability to have a comfortable peaceful sleep.

The location of the property was extremely convenient to the shopping plaza and restaurants. It’s a perfect location for a place to stay.
Negatives:
Upon entry, room 159 when turning on the light roaches were present. The door did not shut correctly. The door needed to be slammed closed, which did not feel safe.The bottom of the door also not blocked off which allowed a small baby bird to come inside the room while the door was closed. My husband and I were put in rooms that were separated by a couple who is living on the property with an extended stay. They had dogs barking and were smoking cigarettes in front which was between both of my rooms which contained small children. None of the TVs in either room worked, the controller in room 159 didn’t not connect to the tv and the volume was on loud which we couldn’t lower down. In room 163 the tv did not work at all, not sure if it was a connection issue but it wouldn’t work at all. I did call the front desk and nobody answered for assistance. When speaking to the front desk he told us the manager would reach out when he came in and never got the phone call. I also called the number giving on the booking and was greeted by this is my personal number I will call when I get into office and still no phone call. We had a softball tournament as well as celebrating 2 of my kids birthday and was very dissatisfied.
