Check in was more difficult than necessary. We arrived about a half hour before check in and Lucena at the front desk made us wait until exactly 3 to even begin checking in. Then she didn’t believe that we had paid for the room even though we had confirmation emails and texts from our bank showing that our card was charged and room paid in full. She made me forward her the confirmation email and then begrudgingly gave us our room key. It felt racially motivated, as there were other guests of color she treated the same way. We also called the front desk twice to ask for towels and never received them. I had to walk the halls to find a cleaning cart and get them myself

Booking.com did not permit me to cancel this reservation within 24 hours, and I was charged the full amount for my stay (though I did indeed cancel within 24 hours).
Horrible experience.

We did not stay. The hotel canceled our room while we were en route. We were not able to travel for our first night. I indicated our arrival through the app, but was told that this does not link to their reservation system. I fully intended to pay for all three nights, but they canceled our entire stay - and charged us for the first night. The staff/manager were not helpful nor pleasant. We ended up having to find a last minute place to stay, on parents weekend, in the rain.
I will never be staying at this hotel in the future.
