Recently traveling in Massachusetts, this was a good stopover option for us, before heading to the Amtrak Station in Providence for our return trip to the Newark airport and home. The location was good for a relaxing afternoon and night before the long day of travel ahead. There is a great trail system (Trek Sturbridge) nearby for those who like to walk and enjoy nature....very scenic with different options, difficulty-wise. We enjoyed a stroll along the Riverlands Trail. And for those interested in history, Old Sturbridge Village is nearby.

Breakfast was standard for this level hotel, but we couldn't believe that there was NO toast available to go with our scrambled eggs. There were no pre-made little omelets or even breakfast sandiwiches either. The beds were so high that I at 4'11" and elderly could not get into the bed. So we had to go to Walmart and purchase a stepstool so I could sleep! There was no separate walk-in shower. The. only chair to sit in was the desk chair so one of us had to stand to watcfh
tv or lay in bed. Most of all, the rate was unbelievably high! I have never paid this much for a room at any La Quinta Inn and have always received my myclubwyndham member discountl I know I booked it directly on line from myclubwyndham website so would like to know how it got switched to a "third party" booking. Management at the La Quinta informed me that since it was through a third party booking site that they couldn't do anything about it. I am contacting Wundham and letting them know what happened since I have been a member for over 30 years. I am not happy since I ended up paying way more for less quality than I am used to. I really do appreciate the front desk clerk, Fuhaley, trying her best to help recitfy the situation, but I will use my Hilton Honors loyalty program instead of 'Wyndham the next time.

There were no glasses in the room. I had to call the front desk to get a remote for the television. The desk light was not plugged in so I couldn’t use it to charge my devices. The continental breakfast did not have any water or juice which is something I expect.
