The staff is horrible. When I arrived no one was at the front desk and I rand the service bell for at least 20min before some one came out front. And when they showed up they were not friendly to me all. Not the the best experience for me.

I stayed there on Friday, December 29, to visit a relative who is very ill and being treated at the University of Michigan Hospital. Upon entering my room at 4:30 PM--I immediately heard the smoke detector chirping. It needed a new battery. With luggage, I went back to the front desk and let the staff member know the smoke detector was chirping--I asked when someone would be able to replace it? She assured me she would send someone in a few minutes. I went back to my room and unpacked. An hour of chirping later--no one came. I went back to the front desk, and the staff member when it would be fixed. She explained she was the only one there, and couldn't make any promises. She'd try soon. But I could tell she was not interested in fixing it as she told me she had a lot to do. I told her I would not be able to sleep with the chirping. I asked about moving to a different room. She said no rooms were available, but maybe the smoke detector would be fixed. I had to get back to the hospital--when I returned after 10:00 PM, no one was available at the front desk and when I returned to my room, the smoke detector was still chirping--this chirping happens every 2-3 minutes. It went on like that all night. I hardly slept. How can there be so little regard for guests?
