The Hotel pretends to be...
Positives:
I loved the aesthetic of the hotel and the location was awesome. My husband and I walked down to Corktown and checked out all the cute little shops down there. The coffee was excellent at the hotel itself as well. One of our keycards demagnetized and they didn't give us any issue with replacing it. The manager on shift told us they're switching to a new system so it shouldn't be an issue in the future. I loved having art books in the rooms with pictures of other areas of the hotel and of the Detroit area. There's a lot to do withing 20 minutes of this place. My husband and I are big Detroit fans, so this was the perfect little spot for us to stay.
Negatives:
Our room was missing a light bulb in one of the bedside lamps. Convenience store prices were a little high for some of the items. They had dollar store bath salts for $4.

Cute Hidden Gem for Detroit...
Positives:
Great customer service before we even checked in continued through our stay. The location was convenient and safe. The fire pit provided a community atmosphere where I made new friends. I can't say enough good things about this place. We were walking distance away to great food and fun.
Negatives:
The bar/restaurant opening up will make this the best spot in the D.

Positives:
We were there for a guided fishing trip and it was close to the dock we were launching from. The jacuzzi tube was nice after a full day of being on the boat. Robe and slippers were a nice touch if you were staying more than a couple of days.
Negatives:
This hotel looked cute at first, then we got there. Super overpriced for the accommodations!!! Paid $645.00 for a two night stay. We have traveled alot for work and personal and this was a unfortunate experience. Staff was dismissive, rude and were bothered when you asked a question. No coffee pot in the room!?!?! Floor looks like the old carpet was pulled up and scrapped then a coat of poly thrown over it. Rugs in the room were worn and dirty. Filtering light from the window and under the door, had to stuff a towel to block it out. Room was super hot. Had to set the cooling to 63 to get it down to 68 so we could sleep. We were charged $10.00 a night for secure parking when the card reader box was broken and the gate was stuck open. Free coffee kurig downstairs was broken and desk clerk dismissed it. Tried to order food from the restaurant but could not get anyone to answer. Ordered food from door dash and they would not let them deliver to the room. When checking out at 5 am was greeted by a young lady in a hoodie who looked like she had just rolled out of bed. The owners of this hotel need to stay in their own hotel with fresh eyes and then revamp.

Positives:
I loved the aesthetic of this hotel, I totally got the vibe they were going for. It felt very trendy. The staff we came across were friendly and I am always a big fan of a hotel coffee shop. All of the local touches were great! We didn't get any of the wine or snacks but it looked like they had a good offering. The neighborhood seemed really chic , I wanted to visit a few of the places. The restaurant was closed but I would be interested in coming back to check on what they have going on! Parking seemed safe and was only $10 a night.
Negatives:
Once we started looking past the aesthetic, we had a couple of problems. The walls were really thin, I could hear coughing/ talking in both of the rooms next to us. The room felt like a dorm and the bed itself we didn't find super comfortable (the bedding was nice though). The shower had a half glass door with a hole in it to turn on the water, but you couldn't reach the knob to turn the shower on from there so you had to get all the way in first
The shower floor was slippery and if you didn't angle the shower head right, water got all over half the floor. I felt like we were paying for the aesthetic over function which is okay to do every once in a while!
