Positives:
The desk clerk at check-in was exceptionally helpful and considerate. The food at the Fireside Restaurant was amazing!! Carlos was very friendly and good at relaxing a very tired and stressed couple. We had the Chicken Alfredo which we found out was an old family, homemade recipe. Father, son and grandson run the Restaurant and a catering business. If you want relaxation and great food, this is the place for you!

It was a little hard to find for people not used to city driving.

The breakfast took a bit of effort to find since it wasn't close to the lobby and unfortunately the selection didn't appear to be what I was after (didn't see any protein and I am on a carb restriction so the waffle maker wasn't in my interest).

The lobby was the best looking and cleanest area of this hotel

Our bathroom was filthy and we told the guy at the lobby and no one ever came. We told the manager about the filthy bathroom and how no one came to clean it and he just said that he would send someone. I was not expecting this from a manager.
I went to get breakfast, alone, and it was subpar at best. I brought 2 bananas for my kids since they were still sleep. The following day I did the same and a worker blocked me from leaving saying that I couldn’t take food, bananas, to my room. It wasn’t posted anywhere nor did someone say anything the day prior. I wanted to go swimming and found out that the pool was in complete disarray.
The last time we visited, we stayed in Southfield and chose y’all this time because of where we were visiting. Since being back in San Diego, home, I’ve seen a lot of hotels by Windom and I feel sorry for the folks staying there. It might not be true of all but the hotel in Troy was horrible and not up to our standards. The cleaning folks did t even speak clear English or English at all. It’s hard to serve the public if you don’t speak English.
