Beds were pretty good according to my wife. She's had back issues and found the bed to be satisfactory. Place was clean. The staff was very attentive. And we received a call after checking out that we had forgotten some things in the room.

Nice staff. Room was very tidy and comfortable bed. Wonderful pillows.

Whole property had an unappealing musty odor. Thin walls so hard to sleep with carpet cleaning being done in evening hours.

There were kids running up and down the halls playing football banging on the walls and doors for 830pm till 1am and could not get ahold of any at the front desk

They recently did a 'Rebath' sort of remodel to resurface their bathtubs, which made them very narrow and I felt too narrow to feel comfortable or safe showering in the newly done tub/shower. Elbows hitting the side, etc. I woud not stay there again.

The location was perfect for what we needed. We were there for a funeral so the location to travel between Austin and Brownsdale was nice.
Negatives:
We arrived early and noticed a charge on my card in the amount of $139.48, so I thought maybe we could check in early as well since they already charged my card. The receptionist stated that it was not a charge but a pre-auth (which it wasnt because it went through) and that they do not do early check-ins. Which is fine. So come 3pm, we come back to check-in with the rest of our family who is staying on the first floor. They asked if they had a room available on the first floor and the receptionist said no they dont, then two other people checked in right next to me with and she offered them the first floor rooms. So we are checking in and they charge my card again $139.48, so total of $278 now, then try and charge my card again for $275 which didnt work. They kept saying I owe $275, I showed them that they charged my card twice now and it went through. Then they said they were going to reimburse me $139.48. That did not happened. They kept trying to charge my card an additional 7 times when they already charged me twice for the room. Finally they let us into the room and I go to unpack and there is hair all over the bathroom tub, floor, and counters. The towels were stained with blood. Just a horrible experience all over!

I will never come back to this hotel when we come to visit again. Worst experience ever!!!
