On the corner of 9th and Hennepin in the heart of Minneapolis’s historic theater district, The Chambers Hotel takes center stage. Built in 1908, The Chambers has had a front-row seat to the legendary Orpheum Theater’s groundbreaking performances, from the Marx Brothers’ vaudeville act to Prince’s hometown debut. Here at The Chambers, we, too, have a famous flair for the dramatic. Our 60 art-infused guestrooms and suites have walk-in rain showers (some of the suites also come with deep soaking tubs) and sweeping views of vibrant downtown. A lush courtyard with a fire pit are prime spots to admire the scenery on Hennepin Avenue. And 12,500 square feet of event space — including a pristine, blank-canvas gallery — await your creative touches. The skyway just steps from our door leads to the Target Center, Target Field, U.S. Bank Stadium, the Mississippi River and the colorful culture of the Twin Cities.

Positives:
The executive king room that I ordered ( room 217 ) was quiet and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. It even had a sofa and chair and a desk chair as well. The shower was a walk in, tiled in a pretty blue color. The shower worked beautifully which we enjoyed.
Negatives:
We got up too late to see what kind of breakfast offerings were available. I was told they had "grab and go" bags. They were all gone. The processed cereals and cereal bars offered in general are unhealthy and should not be offered to guests. I don't think the apples were organic, so not worth trying. We had some food with us and ate elsewhere.
Toilet paper holder in the bathroom was loose and tilting. The left fastener of the toilet seat cover was also loose. There needs to be another towel rack or holder as well.
There was only 1 robe in the room so had to get another one.
The front desk clerk was not knowledgeable about the area even though she worked there everyday. She was from "St. Paul" which is practically right next door. Another guest told me where to park the car for the evening as meters were not monitored after 6pm. The front desk agent should know this kind of info. The parking garage is $15 overnight which we ended up using.
