Pets are always welcomed guests! A maximum of two pets are allowed in each suite. A $25 (+ tax) per day, per pet non-refundable cleaning fee for the first six (6) nights. Each day thereafter is a $10 non-refundable fee (+tax) per day, per pet. The first seven (7) nights are payable the first night of your stay and is charged at check-in. Service animals will be exempt from this charge. Height and length restrictions apply: pets can be no longer than 36 inches and no taller than 36 inches.

Welcome to our pet-friendly MainStay Suites® in Rochester South, MN. We offer spacious extended-stay accommodations for travelers, students, workers or anyone relocating in the area. Thanks to our apartment-style suites, you can live like you're at home with a full kitchen, flat-screen TV and free WiFi. We're conveniently located off US-63 and US-52, right next door to the Wood Lake Meeting Center. A few minutes further and you can reach the Apache Mall, the Rochester Art Center and the Mayo Clinic campus. We aim to make it convenient to settle in here. In addition to a prime location and helpful amenities, we have a Grab and Go Market on-site for your last minute needs. We've also got spacious parking for any kind of vehicle, so you can come and go as you please. In your suite, feel free to cook your favorite meals thanks to our stovetop, refrigerator and dishwasher. Then, get some work done at your desk area or put on your favorite TV show. Our 24-hour front desk is more than happy to help you with anything else, or direct you to Rochester attractions. There's plenty of outdoor adventures to check out around here, such as Quarry Hills Nature Center or the scenic Valleyside Estates Park. You can even go swimming or take a boat out on the lake at Chester Woods Park. For some notable sites in town, take a visit to the Mayowood Historic Mansion or simply spend an evening enjoying the nightlife in downtown Rochester. Plus, you can hit the golf courses at Soldiers Field Memorial Park or Willow Creek Country Club.

Negatives:
Our room was freezing cold because there was a huge gap under the heating unit letting all the cold air in. Staff was very standoffish and sort of rude about letting us get a room while our furnace was out house was out. And there was a windchill warning out. Temperatures in the -20 & -30's real feel. All because we live in town.

I had a corner room with window on 2 walls
Negatives:
1. Parking lot was slick, wasn't properly salted. I slipped with feet in the air. I saw a shuttle operator clung to his shuttle door to save himself from falling.
2. Parking lot was almost empty as if no guests were living, I know why because there were none. I would not live there again. It was an Econolodge marked as Mainstay Suites.
3. Everything was super old, I was hesitant to even touch let alone using it. No frill items inside.
4. Toiletries the worst I had ever seen.
List will go on and on. I short I regret my stay there and will never try Mainstay Suite again.

I like the full size fridge and bed was comfortable.
Negatives:
I made my decision to stay here by reading previous reviews which were great breakfast. The breakfast consisted of bars, prepackaged muffins and coffee. The site said the pool will be open on 11/17 but the hotel has no pool. Some of the staff were rude in their mannerisms.

The staff were very nice. Parking was adequate. Fridge worked fine.
Negatives:
When we first entered our room my spouse commented it smelled like someone had smoked pot in it. We opened the window and kept it open the entire visit. There was barely a few sheets of toliet paper left on the roll, and half a roll of toliet paper was the replacement. No amenities, like soap, shampoo, conditioner. The fridge was dirty in spots on the outside and the shelving. Walls and ceilling in the bathroom had water damage along with cracks. TV was super small. Bed was not very comfortable and could hear noise throughout the night. Breakfast was pretty much nothing besides coffee, tea bags, granola bars and a few wrapped muffins (I think?). The hotel was located behind another hotel in a cluster, which was not too difficult to find, but took awhile to get to from the regular roads. Besides the two personable front desk clerks, we cannot give any props for anything else.
