Rochester Marriott Mayo Clinic Area

Negatives: The room smelled, Ac didn’t work the room kept getting hotter and hotter. The pool was never open which was very disappointing. Not sure if I’ll be booking to for my next Mayo Clinic visit. Housekeeper made me remove my own towels and place them in the bins for her instead of taking them from me because she was busy having a personal conversation instead of doing her job.

Negatives: Nothing

Negatives: There was a front desk clerk that was absolutely abysmal. When we got in after a long drive he was telling us information that was inaccurate about driving and where to park. I checked in early and he claimed he couldn’t find our room then proceeded to tell us the type of room we paid for wasn’t available and to get over it cause there are a lot of people there. Another employee walked over and found us in 3 mins and gave us the room we checked in for. If I only worked with him we would have demanded our money back and would never stay at this hotel again. The bellhop Andrew was so incredibly kind and considerate. Housekeeping was wonderful and attentive. The front desk clerk never gave me his name but if he had I would expose how antiblack and disrespectful he was. Not one time did he treat me or our family like a customer and acted like I was bothering him every time. When I demanded to work with the Luke I talked to on the phone that was wonderful or requested the Anna that I was told to request—he told me he was a manager too and that they were not going to talk to me. So, I would really address him if you want better ratings from families that are like mine. It ruined our whole stay.

Negatives: there are NO USB ports in the room we had. Also we had to park in the parking ramp and tried coming to the hotel through the subway and we were locked out at 8:30pm! No key card entry so had to go find our way through the maze below the streets.

Negatives: Our first room that was assigned to me and my family smelled strong odor of marijuana although I booked a non-smoking room this was so unpleasant being my family and toddler back and forth just to be assigned to another room with out the acknowledgment of the staff as this to being a normal circumstance given.

Negatives: My son and I were very happy with the property. The staff very friendly from housekeeping, front desk and needless to say, DAVID the server in the breakfast area was exceptional, thats what a excellent customer service is! Thank you David.

Negatives: Booked Concierge and was closed. No one informed me that it was closed. Staff were not well informed

Negatives: I had an 7:30 am medical appointment and the desk told me the restaurant opened at 6:30 am, so we went down a few minutes after 6:30 to find an empty, darkened room. It took a brief time for someone to turn the lights on and greet us. Then took about 15-20 min to get our food order (no buffet). My fruit plate had unripened sliced fruit and some berries and my partner had the oddest concoction they called eggs on corned beef. A very bad experience. I have stayed at less expensive hotels in Rochester that had far, far better breakfast service.
