Methheads hanging out in the lobby. Dogs barking all night. It rained, the windows leaked until a third of the room had wet carpet. Mold in the BR We wanted to check out a day early, but they would not refund our money. We won't stay at a Stupid 8 again

The room was dirty when checked in. When checking out asked for deposit back the guy at desk refused saying we smoked in the room . We didn't smoke in the room but I read the reviews this must be a common thing that happens because it has happened several times. I believe corporate office needs to look into this place

It was the cheapest place in town.

They gave me a smoking room when I booked a non smoking. The room wasn't clean. The staff wasn't very friendly. The place had an overpowering chlorine smell in the lobby. The hall and stair carpets were disgusting. The heat was completely off in the room so it was freezing when I got in there.

The location was great.
Negatives:
No elevator to the second floor. Electrical code violations in the room. Outlets uncovered wires taped together. No three pronged outlets available for use. Requested a coffee maker and couldn't plug it in related to being a 3 pronged outlet. Then managed to use a personal extension cord and the coffee maker only made half a cup of coffee and the rest of the water ran out all over the counter. A cockroach in the bathroom. Only one small trashcan in the room none in the bathroom. No light bulb in the entryway. Key cards quit working an hour before checkout. Only 2 wash clothes in the bathroom. Only one hanger in the room to hang clothes on.
