Positives: When selecting a hotel for travel, I always look closely at location and reviews. This particular property seemed to have very good reviews and was centrally located to where we needed to be this particular weekend. It was located right in the heart of a good area and surrounded by many things including a mall, grocery stores (Walmart and Target were super close!), and food establishments so you were very close to anything you would need, which was nice. Looking from the outside, it’s a very pretty property and the lobby was very inviting.
Negatives: I’ll start by saying I’m a very picky about cleanliness. Plain and simple, any place you are paying to stay should absolutely be clean. It feels really gross and unwelcoming when it doesn’t and unfortunately, the rooms for this property were not clean. The first room we were given had food and crumbs very obviously all over the place. It was obvious that the room was cleaned as far as the vacuum could reach and whatever it couldn’t suck up was left. The chair at the desk had food all in the cracks so it felt like that hadn’t been cleaned in awhile. I had work to do and would have used the desk but did not want to sit on that chair. The in-room closet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in awhile either. There were safety pins, hair, and fingerprints throughout. So obvious yet there they were. I called the front desk and they did profusely apologize and offer to move me to a new room. They were very apologetic when I came downstairs to switch keys and said they were short-staffed. I have empathy for that but again, hotels should be clean period. They ended up switching us to a one-bedroom suite, which was bigger and should have seemed nicer than the first, but it was actually more dirty. As soon as you walked in, you could spot a melted chocolate puddle on the top of a shelf in the kitchen. There were stains on the carpet and the bathroom had hair on the shower walls, a smudged mirror, and some sort of red mess on the counters. I checked the desk chair so I could consider my need to work and it had even more food plus stains. Needless to say, I did not work there. The bedroom was okay. It had the tiniest sconce lighting on the wall and I’m not sure what it’s purpose was because it barely offered any light. I ended up spending the first thirty minutes in that room cleaning what was technically already clean. Like I said, I’m picky about cleanliness but feel I can be when I’m paying to stay somewhere. For me, it was just a very disappointing experience.

Positives: Staff at the front desk were helpful. Bed & bedding were very comfortable. Shower was awesome.
Negatives: Staff was very slow at breakfast the next morning. Slow to refill items even when requested. Very difficult to find the place, didn't realize it sat back off the road in a parking lot. Signage needs to be improved dramatically. Full of noisy families, and I could actually HEAR people running on the floor above us.
