Best Western Plus St. Louis West-Westport

Negatives: My key didn’t work the first time. After that, I got in but my room was also occupied! The next day, my key wouldn’t work. One lady took my id to look me up, the other lady then asked me for it while the other still had it. They were rude, something happened on the 2nd floor and they were yelling at a guest for trying to walk past them to the elevator (Sunday night).

Negatives: Hot water dispenser was broken (for making tea); lime-green walls, no Gidean's Bible in drawers, loud barking in the hallway, loud talking in neighboring rooms and loud music in room next door after 10 pm.

Negatives: Had to switch rooms due to horrendous smell in the room I booked. Front desk was very helpful and understanding. The cleanliness in the room and the hotel though was subpar! The corridors have probably not been vacuumed in a very long time. Bathroom and floors were dirty, floors and furniture had severe wear and tear even though the interior looks new and modern. The toilet in my room was disgusting! There are some questionable guests staying at this hotel who behave like savages.

Negatives: Our rooms (we booked two) were not properly cleaned, so we had to change rooms. Surfaces not wiped down, ie refrigerator glass shelf & bathroom counter sinks, tv console, stains on sheets, hairs in tub, hairs under our covers, food/debris throughout the floors in rooms, loads of pet hair right outside our families room in the hall. We had to change rooms multiple times, and so did our other family members. Second room was the charm for us, since they changed the sheets in front of us. Third room for our other family. We could not book another room anywhere else for that week at that point, that wasn't 3 times our budget because it was Christmas. While we appreciate their efforts to fix those issues for us by finally giving us 2 properly cleaned rooms, we will never stay here again. "You never get a second chance to make a first impression!"

Negatives: Room had a slightly icky smell. Like rotten eggs. Swimming pool was closed for season but nothing was mentioned about that online. No healthy options for breakfast, not even oatmeal.

Negatives: Staff wasn't very friendly or helpful. Definitely needed some housekeeping throughout. The halls were covered with crumbs and dirt when we got there. They weren't vacuumed the next day at all either. There were dogs whining loud at midnight.

Negatives: The baseboards in the room were falling off. The floor had not been swept at all. There were wet spots on the floor from, what looked like mopping but there was dirt all over the floor still. The hot water did not get very hot. We went down for breakfast at 830 and there was not hot food left. Only cereal and waffles. Another guest told us that they had been out of hot food for a while and that the hotel had no intention on bringing more out. We left early and went to breakfast somewhere else. There were kids playing in the hallway until about 11pm at night. They were very loud and made it difficult to sleep. Overall, would bot recommend this hotel at
