Room and lobby was clean. Very nice location.

Almost have to valet park. Parking is a nightmare. Our room was not ready till well after 5 in the afternoon making us change in the lobby bathrooms and have to check our bags with the front desk. Tv in our room did not work neither did the outlets by the side of the bed for charging.

Hotel was clean and the design was good.
Negatives:
If you arrive by car, you have to wait for valet because you cannot park yourself. It's literally not an option. I wish they had made that clear so that there wasn't any confusion. Maybe send an email before the reservation date. The staff was horrible. Receptionist didn't give clear instructions on needing to use card to scan elevator to get to room. Lots of confusion there. Breakfast was great, but the staff who was cooking there was rude. Sister left her custom leather jacket in the coat closet. We called back to see if housekeeping found it in our room, was transferred to housekeeper. She took down the information and said she'd check and call us back. She never did. Then hotel charged me for the night, even though I've already paid through booking.com. Had to dispute that as well. The headache is not worth the stay.

Check-in was not smooth. I was charged two additional times for a room that was already paid for. They reversed one of the charges and have yet to reverse the other one. Called the front desk, and they said it was taken care of. Still have not received a refund.
The hotel also did not inform guests that it was valet parking only when booked. Many guests checking in at the same time were surprised. There was no free option.
Other than that, for the price we paid, the room wasn't up to standard. The sheets had holes in them, and there was mysterious long black hair on the sheets as soon as we entered.

Positives:
I stayed here while attending a conference at SLU. My room was very spacious, very clean, elegantly furnished, and had all the amenities one would need. It was also very quiet. Unlike many hotels I stay in, the HVAC system was actually not loud (a big bonus!). They serve a delicious breakfast with hot items made to order, and they have a good espresso/coffee machine in the lobby. There are also shops and restaurants as well as a grocery store right across the hotel. Above all, the staff were very friendly!

The staff is what makes this a great place! They are amazing, especially the young man who prepares the breakfast! Everyone is friendly and I especially love to see the camaraderie amongst the staff.

Clean and breakfast in the morning. How spacious the room was.
Negatives:
The bed and pillows were way too soft. We needed our sheets on one bed changed, they just sent sheets to the door. Someone should have also made the bed. We stayed 4 nights and our room or garbage wasn’t dealt with.
