The manager was very friendly, and offered a refund back to my card for my last 4 days of stay that I did not use. The refund did not come through so I paid basically 400 dollars for a one-night stay

Not all of The outside doors from the stairwell had to be accessed with a key, which made me have a tiny question about security, but I had no problems.

My stay was very affordable and in a great location and the bed was comfortable and I slept well. Nothing fancy.

The sole positive was that the room was available but upon seeing it I was not surprised. It was dirty, dated and smelly. The sight of long black hair in the bathroom was disturbing, to say the least, disgusting since I have short, brown hair. Filthy baseboards, electrical plugs that don't work, curtains not hung because of missing hooks but the best decoration of all was the duct tape on the drapes!?? The windows were/are filthy and space does not allow for a complete listing of everything that was grotesque. I would never refer anyone to stay at this facility.

Avoid at all cost; it is not a nice place and should have been so much better for the price charged.
Positives:
My room was good. I liked having an easy chair as well as a desk and chair. I had some extra time to relax on this work trip, so took advantage of some relaxing in front of the television.
Breakfast was okay for the "Travelodge."
Negatives:
There was no hot water for the first day of my stay. The hotel said they would give me a partial credit for that day. (I haven't seen it.) Thankfully, there was hot water by 5:00 p.m. of the second day.
The lobby wasn't very clean. Supplies were somewhat skimpy. I had to go down to the desk for toilet paper and a towel.
This is obviously being remodeled - the sign says "Travelodge and Baymont." It is currently in between the two. It needs some upgrades to be a good Baymont.

This downtown hotel is being upgraded. I look forward to my next visit to see the improvement.
Negatives:
I couldn’t find the hotel to begin with, signage is not great. Google maps bring you to downtown and what looks like an abandoned building, the hotel is around the corner. After an 8 hour drive tu get there, stringing late at night this was pretty scary. There was no hot water. A sigh was posted in reception that there would be a 20% discount if people decided to stay with no hot water. It was so late I had no choice but to stay. After all off the hours of travelling I washed my hair in a sink with cold water and had the worst night sleep. I asked the staff to process the 20% and they said they would but they didn’t. I called a few days later and again they said they’d process it but nothing. Now, a month later they are not responding to me. Worst experience, very disappointed.

The toilet in the room we checked into didn't flush. The staff was very nice and moved us to a different room. In the morning we used the bathroom, and that toilet also didn't flush. We were only there for 1 night, so we just checked it and left.

There were stains on the cover of the bed. Also, the shower/tub was terrible. There was no water pressure because most of the water was still coming out of the faucet. The only good thing about the shower was that it was hot. I had to shut the water off so it didn't overflow the tub. Also, anyone could access the elevator in the parking garage. It would be better if only a key card opened the elevator. Also, some was smoking in the enclosed stairwell, and my room was right next to the stair well.
