Did not take American Express - which is a card I used to make the reservation and therefore I should have been advised -. I would have chose a different hotel if I knew.
To charge this $28 plus for the dog which I was aware from hotel.com it would be free.

This hotel is rundown, the staff seems to hate their jobs ( no one smiles), worst location I have ever stayed in, some Uber drivers wont even go here. There is a club across the street that plays music until 6:30 am.

The area is very ugly and full of homeless people. At 11 pm a bunch of guys drinking and making noise in the parking lot. and many gunshots.

I called ahead to make sure I could use my credit card to pay for my son. They said it would be fine and there would be no issues when he checked in. When he checked in he was told he needed to provide a credit card for the room. Very inconvenient.

I paid way too much for the room, it was outdated, in a shitty location. No free breakfast. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and I liked the pillows
