We liked that it was dog friendly, it was clean, the room was spacious and had a nice eating area and fridge. The staff was nice and helpful. It was in a pretty good location next to restaurants and the highway

We wish there would have been side doors or alternate entrances besides going through the lobby which was mostly populated every time we had to take the dog out

Positives:
I made an error when initially trying to book this reservation. I immediately realized my mistake and attempted to correct the error. The error was not corrected. The corporate office of Aloft, said that they were not responsible for refunding my money, that Booking.com had purchased blocks of rooms and they had my money. Booking.com said that they needed an email from the staff at the location to cancel or change the appointment. Although extremely rude, the staff at Aloft said they would email Booking.com that day. It follows that I did nlt use the room at all and did not receive any refund at all. If this is how you do business, I will never use your service again and I will certainly never stay at Aloft in Secaucus.

The guest service staff were nice, one of the the room attendants acted annoyed that was bothering him

Where do I start, I understand the “Loft” concept but I have still stayed at less cramped properties. one of my sheets were stained , the counters in the bathroom
looked as if they were wiped with/ a quick clean still streaks.
Coffee was disgusting, the pool area looked dingy there was blood on the shower, tiles broken & scattered and the ANTS!!!! I was told there was a spa , I’m guessing jacuzzi or something but never found it not clearly marked
And how could I forget my door seemed to be coming apart at the handle. No trash cans on the floors and one microwave in the lobby for an entire hotel is insane

“Modernized” Motel” 6, Remindined everyday...

Free breakfast was suppose to be included, that’s how we booked it. Coke to find out, there in no free breakfast. Paid for my stay in advance, when I checked in, they took the payment out again. I received a refund 5 days later, but puts you in a tight spot when you just arrived for a 3 day trip.

The huge interstate highway just outside the room window generated tons of noise and totally prevented lasting sleep. Slamming room doors and echoing hallways only added to noise pollution. When I inquired about a quieter room, the front desk clerk smiled a lot but did nothing. Also, the bartender informed me the bar was completely unstocked because the hotel is undergoing a "change in management" ..for the worse it seems.
