Positives: We didn't do much but stay in our room. We had been on the road all day and had a full day on the road the following day and we just wanted to rest. We appreciated the courtyard setting and we appreciated the table and chairs outside our room where we could sit, drink our coffee, etc. We walked around the grounds and we were astounded at the size of the place! Really beautiful. I lived in Taos in the early 90's and remembered going to the Sagebrush Inn to socialize with friends and listen to music. I remembered that it was a nice place. That is the reason I booked a room there.
Negatives: Can't think of anything negative that stands out. The room was clean and well-kept and comfortable. The only thing negative had nothing to do with the room. It was the fact that it was on the wrong side of Taos as far as our destination, which was Denver, and therefore it was kind of a hassle in the morning getting out of town.
Very pleasant surroundings. Felt safe...

Positives: On site dining. Simon greeted us at dinner very graciously. Katie served our party of four and answered all our questions as we were considering our options. At breakfast the next morning on the patio, Daniel took care of us promptly and with a nice sense of humor that we appreciated. Front desk staff did a great job checking us in. Courtyard is lovely and relaxing.
Negatives: Using bathroom during night required turning on light switch that also turned on light at sink in room waking spouse. Should be a separate light for bathroom light.
Nice accommodations. would stay there...

Positives: We liked the atmosphere of the historic side of hotel. Location is good, too.
Negatives: None of the staff seemed to like being there, especially the front desk staff. The rooms were old, of course, but old doesn't have to be dirty. We literally had a lot of cobwebs hanging from our very dirty lights. Sheets had a big hole, too. Landscaping is neglected now and burnt out lights not replaced. This is my second time staying there on a road trip and wouldn't again. It would be nice if the website said the pool wasn't filled. We appreciated the air conditioning, but it was super loud.
Sad to see such a...
