Inn At The Finger Lakes

Negatives: Arrived at 5 pm - front desk staff had already left and we had to check-in using a "virtual" system in the lobby. They couldn't find our reservation; took 15 minutes to clear up the issue. We had called ahead to ask for a 1st floor room (pet convenience); were told that was no problem, but "virtual" clerk could not change our room assignment and we were stuck on the 2nd floor. Elevator opened and it reeked of cigarette smoke on a no-smoking floor, but there was no one in the building to complain to/manage it. Loose light switch plate by the bed fell out of the wall. Clock hadn't been turned forward with time change 20 days prior to our stay. No staff available/visible during the evening/overnight. And the hotel was filled to capacity because of the Solar Eclipse! Poor management planning!! Rooms were tired/bed & pillows uncomfortable, no place for 2 to sit and eat in lobby or rooms, mold in the shower corners. These things are fixable. Bright spot - a staffer the next morning listened to our complaints, came up to the room to check, and apologized.

Negatives: No in-person humans at checkin, only a kiosk. Also the person on the remote kiosk only checked in half of my party requiring a second trip to the lobby to resolve the issue, which took 20 minutes and required manager intervention.

Negatives: I was locked out a few times, my key did not work on the front door, but worked on the side door, so I had to walk around, because the staff was nowhere to be seen. We were also expecting breakfast.

Negatives: Room was small and freezing, sink had stains in it, floor was cold as ice, AC would turn on for no reason, mold smell in the room. Would not recommend
