Positives:
The woman who worked in reception on Sunday evening and Monday morning was absolutely delightful and very helpful. Unfortunately, I did not get her name.
Negatives:
Everything was fine during our short stay. One of the reading lights in our room would not turn off, but it did not affect our sleep.

Positives:
Seems like it once was a decent hotel, the lobby and room were well decorated and thoughtfully appointed, but it's pretty run down and dirty at this point. A friend who lives in the area recommended this hotel, but they hadn't actually stayed there for several years.
Negatives:
Creepy stains on the doors, walls and blinds. Needs a refresh.

Ok but not the best...
Positives:
Loved the staff, very helpful. Heated pool with lifeguard that the kids enjoyed. Comfortable beds. View from our room was beautiful. On-site parking was so convenient. Pet friendly!
Negatives:
The elevator is a bit slow.

Positives:
Nothing.
Negatives:
Our stay at this Holiday Inn was a disaster from start to finish.
Upon arrival, there were no towels in our room because the hotel had “run out and had to order more.” After an hour of waiting, we finally got them and could shower after a long six-hour flight.
The first red flag was that the windows were bolted shut—you can’t even crack them open for fresh air. We were forced to rely on the AC to prevent the room from feeling stale.
The cleanliness was also questionable. The carpet was visibly filthy with multiple stains, and the bed sheets had a blue stain on them. Were they even washed?
By the second day, we returned from exploring New York only to find our room had not been cleaned. No fresh sheets, no towels—we had to call the front desk again just to get the basics.
On the third day, housekeeping finally cleaned the room, and we thought things might improve—until the fire alarms started going off repeatedly. A man came over the PA system, telling everyone to “stay calm” while police cars, a fire truck, and an ambulance rushed to the hotel. I went downstairs to find a man in handcuffs, apparently for threatening to set the place on fire.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, when we left the hotel later, we walked into a full-on fistfight in the lobby between multiple families and what looked like a security guard. Front desk staff didn’t even react—meanwhile, kids were watching this unfold right in the lobby. I stepped outside and called 911. Shortly after, one of the fighting families jumped into a Mercedes and sped off. Is this a hotel or a crime scene?
This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I’ve stayed in everything from two-star budget hotels to five-star resorts around the world, and nothing has compared to this nightmare. I will never stay at a Holiday Inn again. I expect a full refund.
