I was told upon entering the hotel that I had to pay an"incidentals and amenities fee" as well as a deposit- this was just in case we caused some damage. I wasn't impressed and told them I wasn't happy about. They finally decided not to bill us.

The $25 daily amenities fee added on to the bill above and beyond the advertised room fee was deceptive.

The location was excellent, near my daughter's apartment and close to the Barclay Center, and the surrounding neighborhood was very lovely. Street parking was widely available, and there was also garage parking right next door.
Negatives:
Several sirens, not sure if police or ambulance, and heavy construction across the street. There is a fire hydrant in front of the hotel, and therefore, unloading luggage is a very quick and somewhat stressful exercise.
