Comfortable feeling, wasn’t like staying in a normal hotel atmosphere. It fit in with its community, and that’s what made it peaceful. Staff was tremendously helpful, room was very clean and fit my needs, and if you didn’t want to leave hotel to eat they had good food for breakfast and dinner. All around very good value in a beautiful historic town.
Negatives:
I had only one issue. The shower in the bathroom was an open shower with half glass and I would have preferred a sliding door or a shower door I could close. A little bit of water would get on bathroom floor. No a big deal, but managed.

A peaceful and comfortable place right in the heart of Hudson by the river.

Comfortable feeling, wasn’t like staying in a normal hotel atmosphere. It fit in with its community, and that’s what made it peaceful. The hotel’s building was a candle factory as we were told. It could be nice to get a little candle to get from hotel as a little gift. But nope.

The room was big enough
Negatives:
The room was dank. The pull-out sofa bed was so uncomfortable that it was practically useless. When was the last time new mattresses were installed in both the regular bed and the sofa bed? One of the desk clerks 'came from a place of no.' The first response from him to any question was negative. For example, we asked if the sofa bed could be made up. He said no because there was no one in housekeeping to do it. When challenged, he eventually sent someone from housekeeping to do it. And we had to cajole him to get the room cleaned daily. For the price we paid, that was ridiculous. And the people we traveled with NEVER had their room made up during the entire 4-day stay! What's with that? WAAAAAAAAY overpriced for the location, room quality, and service
