Positives:
Price was right, surprised at the value, staff was so very nice
Negatives:
30 per dog fee was too high
Negatives:
We booked a room on the weekend of the eclipse, they were one of the few places that had rooms available and it was a very low price so my expectations were very low. They did not put us in the travel loge property but in the place next door called Cloud 9 Inn. It was an obviously closed property that they opened to make use of rooms for the busy weekend. The hallways were freezing. When we turned the heater in the room on there was a burning smell from not being used for a long time. After we found bugs in the room we left. I am in the process of trying to get a refund but I'm pretty sure its going to be a fight. To be fair I knew this place was not going to be great, I read the 3 star reviews and booked it with eyes wide open but I did not expect to stay in a place that was pretty much an abandoned hotel.
On the positive side the eclipse was spectacular and we would have never attempted the trip if we did not get a booking at this hotel so for that we are grateful.

Bad
Positives:
The location was great.
Negatives:
They double charged me. I already paid through Booking.com but yet the guy at the counter still swiped my credit card for payment. I am in the process of disputing that transaction. There was a couple in front of me trying to check in also and they had the same issue. I wonder how many other people double paid during the solar eclipse. That is my major gripe. My minor one is that there was a pubic hair in the bathroom on the floor. Not mine or my friends. I get that this is a 2 star hotel but why not work harder at becoming better.

Negatives:
The room was supposed to be non-smoking, and it smelled like smoke. There was no microwave, and our neighbors were extremely loud. The beds were very uncomfortable, and they put top sheets over the mattress instead of fitted sheets, and they kept slipping off the bed. The refrigerator was not clean and smelled awful.

Pleasant
Negatives:
We had a terrible time checking in. When I 1st checked in employee had to call someone to check me in, he did not have a computer to do so and did not verify my information or confirmation. Then they gave us a different room than what we reserved. Also, the same employee came to the room 10mins later with the same person on the phone saying they had to confirm my payment info that the room was not paid, which it was 4 days prior by credit card and confirmed, and they had the wrong credit card info. They also assigned the room they gave us to a family that came about an hour after us and tried to enter the room. Then our room key would not work 3 more times and they had to fix it.
