Must meet with what reserved...
Positives:
Good location, lots of restaurants in the area, very close to public transport, 5th Avenue, easy walk to Empire States building, Bryant Park and Central Park. Most of the staff friendly and helpful, very comfortable bed, and reliable car service to the airport available and fairly priced. Price includes breakfast and 2 free drinks per person early evening.
Negatives:
Very poor value for money. There was a long check-in queue, not enough staff on the reception desk. When I arrived the area outside the hotel was full of garbage bags, present also on other evenings. Lobby and bar area pretty naff. Nowhere welcoming to hang out and not enough seats. The room I had paid to upgrade to on Booking.com did not materialise. I had to show my email confirmation for the assistant manager to believe me. The hotel was full on arrival so did not get moved to the room with a terrace until the next night, which involved a very long wait to check in the following day. The room with a balcony I was moved to was a handicapped access room, so there was a tacky seat in the shower and the flexible shower head could not be fixed probably to the wall and had no power. The room was next to the lifts, so there was a lot of noise from the lift shaft as well as for people waiting for the lifts and talking loudly until the early hours long lift queues in the morning. The terrace was large but tired, missing cushions for the chairs. The view was horrible, the balcony was overlooked by offices and opposite a building site, not only ugly but very noisy during the day, even on a Saturday. Noisy fridge in the room, which interfered with sleep. I was told I had paid for a $30 a day food and beverage credit, use it or lose it. Very easy to go over that amount as they add on tax to the cost of the drinks and food, and the drinks were ridiculously overpriced. $28 for a margarita that had hardly any alcohol, $32 for 2 glasses of Sauvignon Blanc! Food other people were eating looked awful and also overpriced. Was told bottled water was not free of charge by a very unfriendly receptionist (£370 a night and no complimentary water?!). Room was not cleaned until late in the day. Breakfast poor.

Very good
Positives:
Excellent location, nice rooms, very comfy bed!
Negatives:
Slightly expensive in comparison to other hotels in the area. Breakfast room was also too small for the number of people needing to use it.

Superb
Positives:
The staff was very friendly and professional, the location was perfect for our groups needs.
Negatives:
The sofa bed would not open the third night. Used it night one, did not use night 2 b/c we had a 3rd room Friday night and last night it jammed. We were too late and too tired to wait for help.
The breakfast is very nice offering, not enough space to sit comfortably if you try to eat the last hour of service. Also, the staff could not keep up with cleaning and providing clean cups and utensils.
Most importantly— the resort fee is too much $30 per day, if breakfast is included and you go out to site see and have dinner out. Not enough time to use the $30 at the bar.

Superb
Positives:
We thought this hotel was great. Room fit our family perfectly and w the junior suite divider it felt like it was two rooms, kids had their own tv! Free breakfast was great and contrary to many reviews online, there was plenty of room. Service at breakfast was excellent and young man who checked us in and out was excellent. We will definitely consider this hotel when we return to the Big Apple !! Location can’t be beat.
Negatives:
Cheaper rate but it was no more than everything else at this location at this time.

Negatives:
The breakfast was not so good. And not many choice. As well as not enough place to sit and eat with so many people.

Positives:
Nice people working there. Clean.
Negatives:
In no way was the room a suite. I was traveling with someone who needed a separate room. The couch had a high back and that's why they called it a suite. The photos online hide the fact. I would rented somewhere else and will never go there again.

is not a suite at...
Positives:
Solid amenities (microwaves, refrigerators, large TV and couch, etc;) and location; a "bang-for-your-buck" kind of hotel.
Negatives:
The big Jamaican lady on the fourth floor cafeteria who seems to run the floor is needlessly rude and inattentive. I ordered burgers that were packed and ready but sat there for 10 minutes getting cold because she didn't want to get to it. Later that night, I stopped by the cafeteria again to look for a plastic fork, and she rolled her eyes at me and told me to just take one of the metal ones and then closed the door.
Review
Good hotel, bad Jamaican lady
