Positives:
The location is excellent, literally walking distance of major subway lines, with lots of good restaurants and bars nearby.
The staff are very attentive. Every request we made was fulfilled within minutes, and they kindly accommodated us with an early check-in..
Negatives:
We were told upon check-in that the hotel had a continental breakfast. It was however, just yogurt, croissants and apples, which does not make it a proper continental breakfast (or even a proper breakfast really.)

This is an excellent place to stay. Nothing like walking outside your hotel and seeing tons of flowers and plants. This is in the flower district and it was by far absolutely wonderful and beautiful. The staff greeter us everytime we stepped out or when we came back from sightseeing. Breakfast had the best person ever to greet you and he had the biggest smile. He made sure nothing was low in quantity and the pastries were delish. So was the coffee. Rooms were quiet and very clean. You could get to the subway easily walking just one block away in either direction. Would stay here in a heartbeat if I ever returned to NYC.

The location is great, the room was clean, shower was good.
Negatives:
Terrible wi-fi, breakfast could have more healthy options, hotel in general looks old (furniture, bed, curtains, decoration etc) and needs repair. Coffee maker in the room was also bad, could be replaced by better machines.

Like the location of the hotel. It is within working distance to Times Square, subway and eateries. It is not as crowded and nosy compared to Times Square.
Negatives:
Lack of apparatus to boil water to make beverage.
Breakfast is simple but nice. However breakfast place might need a refurbishment as the lights are dim and place looks a bit rundown.

Positives:
AC is broken in the room. It was very hot. I asked the front desk to get me another room but there’s no available. I asked a portable bed so we can sleep to our friends room they don’t have one. So we slept in the room with open windows. Next day the manager said technician will fix the AC and $35 refund. We came back to the hotel from our sightseeing tour the AC is running but with a loud noise. We called the front desk. Technician came looked at it and said the AC was not working properly. He told the manager to move us to another room. We moved to a new room. The manager will refund us one night price of our stay. We checked out May 30 asked the front desk about the refund and said it will be Booking.Com will pay us the refund. I need the refund back to my account.

There’s no immediate resolution if problems arises. Rooms should always be checked if all amenities are working properly before and after occupancy.

I liked the continental breakfast every morning which was included for free, a nice bonus
Negatives:
I arrived at 10.00 am after a 24-hour journey from Australia, which included a 2-hour cab ride from the airport, and I couldn't get access to my pre-booked room until 3 pm, so I had to wander around the city for another 5 hours. That was a bit of a trek.
I organsied a car to pick me up at 6am on the morning I was leaving and it wasn't booked for me when I went to leave. Then I just wanted to jump in a cab but the guy with the beard got me out of the cab and told me I had to use the car that he just booked. 10 minutes later and 15 minutes after I needed to have left he told me that the car was 10 minutes away so I realised I was being courteous to someone who didn't have the courtesy to book my car in the first place so I jumped in a cab which was $15 cheaper than the "pre-booked" car would have been.

Our expectations were low about NYC hotels but this stay was a very annoying one.
We had a AC problem, it was extremely noisy. Even though I informed the staff, nothing really changed until the last day of our 5 day stay.
Breakfast room has a very interesting lightings (like a night club) and it’s far from being a cosy environment.
