Positives:
We chose the hotel because pick-up for a sightseeing bus tour through the NY boroughs started right in front of the entrance. Lots of great things to do in NYC are in walkable distance from the hotel. Good mattresses, clean room, fridge.
Negatives:
The hotel staff was not welcoming at all. "What's your name? Here's the key." That was basically it. Same with bell men and when checking out. It seems like the hotel staff has no need to be friendly.
However, the worst thing was the shower. Water came only in a weak trickle. Impossible to wash your hair. Only the next day we found out that you had to use brute force to pull at the knob to make the shower work appropriately. No shower curtain and the bathroom was a mess... Flickering night light in the bathroom. The room had some sort of a sofa with dangerous sharp edges at the bottom and an office chair instead of a comfortable chair. Super thick pillows make sure you wake up with a stiff neck the next morning. Breakfast is ridiculously overpriced. No coffeemaker available. Bad coffee at the "Market" in the lobby. We definitely wouldn't stay here again.

we did not have to walk outside orfor a distance to get to the trains. the location was by far the best we ever had staying in manhattan. elevators were quick to bring us to the 27th floor.
Negatives:
the seats, couch, and toilet were pretty low for older people. sometimes it hurt standing up.

There were not many accommodations. The beds were not entirely comfortable. The AC only worked when we were in the room so we tried to get the temp down but had to wait a long while for it to kick in. The shower was slightly grimy, we found what looked like a prune (hopefully) on the ground. Overall the price was not worth the stay. Over $500.00 a night and you expect a little better.

I had stayed at the Hyatt before. It's shabbier than I remembered but the location is great.
Negatives:
It was my birthday. My relatives sent flowers twice but I had to run them down. They were never delivered.
Also, I was promised an email of my fees and charges. I have yet to receive it.
