Booked online, and breakfast was supposed to be included. Didn't get breakfast. Asked for an early check-in so we could attend our Broadway show, and they gave us a king bed and a pull out bed. Very uncomfortable. Asked for a partial refund and was declined. Will not refer or tell friends to stay there.

Positives:
Very nice hotel within walking distance to grand central and bryant park (and many more if you are ok with walking more than 20 min). One of the cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever seen and that was a big plus. There’s a nice little bar downstairs and live music (mostly jazz) 4 nights a week. Bartender Phil was both a great mixologist and great company. I was traveling with my 10 year old daughter, so I can highly reccomend to women who are looking to stay at a nice & safe neighborhood.
Negatives:
Small rooms with no balconies but I guess that’s normal in NY. And no room service.

Positives:
The location was a good location. It was bigger than other hotels I've stayed at in New York and I liked that there was somewhere to put your clothes away. The decor in the room was nice too.
Negatives:
2 times the maids walked in on me in my room. They knocked, I answered through the door and said hello and they proceeded to walk in without an invitation to open the door. 2 times this happened. I finally kept the do not disturb sign on full time so they would not walk in again. It was very intrusive and a violation of privacy. I also paid extra for a city view and there were 2 small windows with little city view. Had to lean over the AC and strain to get a city view. The only way you get power to the room is by using the room key, makes it seem a little out dated to do that. If you have a key to the room and actually get in, shouldn't that be good enough and not have to do an extra step to get power to the room?

Location is excellent, walking distance to many of the main attractions!
Negatives:
Rooms weren’t ready so reception said they were “upgrading” our rooms but they were still really small. I overheard them saying the same to others guests too on check in (because booked via booking.com)
There is no complimentary coffee counter in the lobby as advertised.
And we didn’t like that the restaurant in the hotel is separately owned and you need tokens from hotel reception to eat in there at much the same rate as a walk in.
