The location was great and the staff friendly. The rooms were well equipped and comfortable.
Negatives:
We arrived an hour before check in and our daughters room was not ready yet, which we expected. However, our room was ready, but we had to pay extra to get the key early! We have never experienced that before. To me if your room is ready you shouldnt have to pay extra. The breakfast was very disappointing. We wanted to grab some fresh fruit and oatmeal or yogurt. Neither was anywhere to be found so we decided on a bagel. The bagels were hard and dry and cost us $7 each!

Location is fantastic, room was larger than expected and hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff were all friendly, value for money here is unreal compared with other NYC hotels!
Negatives:
Scaffold up around the entrance and footpath outside partially closed, bar was quite expensive and didnt have any beer on draught.

The cleaning staff was friendly. They were clearly working hard to keep the facility fresh and clean.
Negatives:
The front desk was often unmanned and empty. This was unsettling as luggage was only left in a closet with an open door. I felt uncomfortable leaving my belonging in a room with no hotel personnel present. The hotel is located next to a police station so perhaps that is why it appears lax with front desk protocol which is still unacceptable. The room was cleaned well however a few of the elective outlets did not work.

The "houseman" that the front desk deployed to avoid dealing with any problems themselves was the only nice, helpful person in this hotel.
Negatives:
Filthy - there was hair in the bed, brown stains on the towels, grout on the bathroom floor was disintegrating, stains on the pillows, sheets, and bed, nonresponsive management who avoided any communication and made no effort to fix any of these issues.

Understaffed & unhelpful, overrated at 4.5, more like a 2.5. The rooms are noisy, have broken furniture, & poor lighting. No bedside lamps or outlets. Toiletries: a bar of soap, shampoo, lotion, body wash. No security at night is not good for families.

Decent size for families & location is in midtown. I guess fair prices considering staying in Manhattan.

The staff was amazing. From the receptionist at the desk, to the maintenance and the house keeping. All of them were wonderful! The location was great being that it was a 3 minute walk to the subway station!
Negatives:
This hotel does not offer a shuttle from the airport as it mentions on here! The room was pretty small without much room to move around, but we did manage with three of us.

The location was pretty perfect. I could easily walk to the subway and get pretty much anywhere I wanted to be. It felt like it was in a safe location, everything was clean, and staff was friendly.
Negatives:
No bedside lamps or sconces for reading, couldn't control the a/c, no clear communication about when the restaurant/room service is actually available, cleaning staff barged in right after I checked in and banged on the door at 7:30 the next morning.
